Circuit Analysis
Current and voltage are two basic variables in an electric circuit. For pratical purposes, we also care about power and energy, which can be calculated from the current and voltage.
A circuit can be viewed as a signal processing system, which tranforms the input source signal to the output signal according to our design. The transformation is determined by the electric elements and their organizational method(connections) inside the circuit.
One purpose of circuit analysis is to find the two basic variables of the circuit output signal or the transformation, in time domain or freqency domain. As a result, the electrical properties of the electic elements and connections are to be investigated first.Fortunately, the predecessors have investigated them and summarized many laws(e.g.,Ohm's law, KVL and KCL law,Kirchhoff's law, etc.) to help us analyze the circuit easily.
